IV and CV Offline Mode (formerly Demo Mode)

The host PC does not need to be connected to any test equipment hardware to run the demonstration plots (Offline Mode). The Offline Mode provides sample characterization plots of FET and IGBT devices and a test result (*.mdm) file.

Even though actual hardware does not need to be connected to the host PC to run the Offline Modes, you must still provide VISA addresses and test parameter data in the setup and configuration fields. For information on obtaining the VISA addresses, use the IO Libraries Suite. See the PD1000AStartup Guide for more information.

IV and CV Offline Mode

Although the demo runs without any test equipment attached to the host PC, you must provide a slot address for each SMU in the Hardware Configuration dialog.

  1. To run the PD1000A IV and CV demonstration, check the Offline Mode checkbox on the display screen.

  2. Select one or more tests for demonstration plots. If you select multiple tests, the demos run sequentially.

  3. Click the button at the bottom of the screen. If you selected more than one test, the data display area changes to show the different test that is running.

  4. Click to run the demonstration program again.
